According to the history of the Dawn Patrol, Eight Finger Tang was one of several madmen bent on destroying or ruling the world. It is unclear when he first came to prominence, although it could have been as early as 1923; regardless, he was definitely one of the world's first super villains. While Eight Finger Tang was considered a deadly foe, he (like so many other villains) was overshadowed by the evil Nemesis. Given the fact that Tang was active in the 1920s or 30s, he is likely dead or retired.
