− | == Welcome! == | + | = DON'T = |
| + | : Don't even bother. I won't read it, so it'll just waste your time posting here. The reason it won't be read? Too many (censored by poster) people and/or players who are, apparently, on a power-trip to have thing(s) done their way, period. They disrespect and insult other player(s) who invest time towards adding additional information, correcting/updating generalized formats and who choose/chose to attempt to make Paragonwiki a more informed/more updated source of knowledge for other player(s). Places that endorse, allow and back-up power-hungry, (censored by poster) people, aren't worth the time arguing or debating with, or worth the effort to rationalize/logically discuss thing(s) with. With that said, this page will never be read by the user 'TheBog1' so posting here will be a waste of your time and your waste of time/effort will ultimately just be deleted without being read or considered. |

− | Hello, {{PAGENAME}}, and welcome to the Paragon Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Feel free to fill out your personal user page so we can get to know you. There is a collection of [[:Category:Userbox_Templates|Userboxes]] you can easily add there. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
| + | : Have a nice night/day/whatever. |
| | | |
− | If you need help, ask me on my talk page or place <code>{{helpme}}</code> on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

− | Don't forget to drop by and introduce yourself in the [http://paragonforums.com/forums/ Forum]. It will require a separate registration (login and password), but most users use the same username in both places. There's even a [http://paragonforums.com/forums/rss.php RSS Feed], if you're into that.

− | | + | |
− | Also, make sure you take a look at the [[Help:Contents|Help page]]. There is a lot of preloaded images, missions, and contact info, and what you want to add might already be there.

− | == Cap, Port ==
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Hey, I noticed you created duplicate articles [[Cap]] and [[Port]] for [[Cap au Diable]] and [[Port Oakes]]. You can just create redirects instead by using syntax like this in, for example, the Port article:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | <nowiki>#REDIRECT [[Port Oakes]]</nowiki>
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Then it'll point users to the Port Oakes article. That way we only have to maintain one copy of the article. I've replaced the new duplicate articles with redirects, if you'd like to make changes to the zone articles, please do so at their existing pages. − | == Hey Thebog1 ==
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | I see that you are going on quite a tear for these zone articles. :) I just noticed that one of them (maybe all) had "Lvl." rather than "Level". In most cases, this wiki tries to avoid abbreviations as much as possible. Be sure to check out [http://paragonforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3 this post] made by Tony back in '06. Cheers! - [[User:Snorii|Snorii]] 16:39, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

− | | + | |
− | I notice that even after responding to Snorii, you're still using "lvl" instead of "level". As Snorii said, the wiki tries to avoid using abbreviations. It's especially undesirable to replace existing un-abbreviated words with abbreviations, as you did in <span class="plainlinks">[{{SERVER}}{{SCRIPTPATH}}/index.php?title=Cap_au_Diable&diff=prev&oldid=118914 this revision]</span>. Please refrain from using abbreviations where possible, and especially avoid replacing existing words with abbreviations. I notice in your response to Snorii that you justify using them because abbreviations are already in place elsewhere; please understand that not everything on the wiki is always up to perfect standards, and that those few instances of abbreviations should really be replaced by non-abbreviations at some point. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for your understanding! -- [[User:Sekoia|Sekoia]] 23:32, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

| + | |
− | Actually, Ashley will offer both Golden Roller and Marshal Brass. I just did the Origin of Power arc and she offered both of them to me separate from the missions. I kept having to make sure I picked "Ask about available missions" instead of "Be introduced to a new contact."--[[User:Blondeshell|Blondeshell]] 06:25, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

− | == Store edits ==
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | I just wanted to re-iterate what Agge said [[User talk:Aggelakis#Store Edits|here]]. The format that Agge put the store listings back in is the format that has been in use for quite some time. I agree with him that it's easier to use than the format you've introduced. Rather than reverting it back to your own preferences, please open a thread on the forums to discuss it and seek consensus. When different editors have different opinions on style and presentation, or when an editor is seeking to change the convention for how things are formatted, discussing the matter and seeking a consensus is the appropriate thing to do. ParagonWiki tries to operate on consensus as much as possible.

− | I'd also ask that you please start signing your comments on talk pages. You can sign them by adding this at the end of your message: <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> The four squiggles will turn into a signature that includes your username and the timestamp for when it was posted (similar to the one you'll see at the end of this paragraph), that way people know who wrote it and when it was posted. Thank you! -- [[User:Sekoia|Sekoia]] 01:32, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

− | : In response to your response to Agge: This wiki works on cooperation and consensus. You do not have the right to make ''demands'' of your fellow editors. Agge's response and tone to you was polite and reasonable. While your contributions are valued (you ''have'' put a lot of work into filling in missing information, and I respect that), your attitude in your response to him was completely inappropriate. -- [[User:Sekoia|Sekoia]] 01:40, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
