Pets Window

If you have "Show Pet Window Option" set to "Enabled" in the General Window Options, you may open the Pet Window by clicking on "Pets" on the outer edge of the Team Window.

In the Pets Window, you will be able to view information on any summoned AI entity belonging to you. Similar to the Team Window, any currently active pet will be displayed by name with a set of status bars. You may click on the arrow on the far right side of this window to show or hide the status icons for each pet.

Using the Pets Window with Masterminds

This window is of particular importance to the mastermind archetype as it is the primary command interface between a mastermind and his or her henchmen.

When a henchman is summoned, there will be a set of icons representing the current commanded state of each henchman. Commands can be issued to individual henchmen by clicking on the icons directly to the right of their name. Commands may be issued to all henchmen summoned by the same power by clicking on the icons to the right of each power name. Finally, commands may be issued to all henchmen by clicking on the icons to the right of "All Pets" at the top of the window.

There are two modes of commanding henchmen:

Simple Mode

To activate simple mode: While in advanced mode, click "Options" on the outer border of the Pets Window. Select "Switch to Simple Mode."

In simple mode, three icons appear next to each henchman's name. (If you do not see these icons, you can display them by clicking "Options" and selecting "Show Individual Pet Controls.")

Simple Mode Commands
PetCommand Action Attack.png Attack This will send your henchman to attack the enemy you currently have targeted. Even if you switch targets, your henchman will still continue to attack the same target until either the target is defeated or another command is issued. After defeating a target, the henchman will continue to attack any targets that are nearby. If you issue this command without a hostile target selected, your henchman will simply default to follow mode.
PetCommand Action Follow.png Follow Your henchman will follow you wherever you go. If any hostile targets come into range, your henchman will attack them on sight.
PetCommand Stance Passive.png Heel Your henchman will follow you wherever you go, and will ignore all targets even if you or any other henchmen are attacked.

Advanced Mode

To activate advanced mode: While in simple mode, click "Options" on the outer border of the Pets Window. Select "Switch to Advanced Mode."

In advanced mode, two icons appear for each set of commands. (If you do not see these icons, you can display them by clicking "Options" and selecting "Show Individual Pet Controls.") The first of these icons in each set represents the henchman's current stance:

Advanced Mode Stance Commands
PetCommand Stance Passive.png Passive Your henchman will not change his currently assigned task even if you or any other henchmen are attacked.
PetCommand Stance Defensive.png Defensive Your henchman will defend you or any other henchman that comes under attack.
PetCommand Stance Aggressive.png Aggressive Your henchman will attack any nearby enemies.

Next to the stance command, the icon representing your henchman's current action is displayed:

Advanced Mode Action Commands
PetCommand Action Attack.png Attack My Target This will send your henchman to attack the enemy you currently have targeted, regardless of his current stance. Even if you switch targets, your henchman will still continue to attack the same target until either the target is defeated or another command is issued. After defeating a target, the henchman's current action will default to follow. If you issue this command without a hostile target selected, your henchman will simply default to follow.
PetCommand Action Goto.png Go To Selecting this and clicking on a location on your screen will send your henchman to stand at the location you indicated. Henchmen may move short distances to attack if their stance is set to aggressive or defensive, but will return to their designated location when combat ends.
PetCommand Action Follow.png Follow Me Your henchman will follow you wherever you go.
PetCommand Action Stay.png Stay Your henchman will stop at his current location and remain there. He may move short distances to attack if his stance is set to either aggressive or defensive, but will return to the same spot after combat ends.
PetCommand Action Dismiss.png Dismiss Your henchman will be removed from play and you'll have to summon another.

In addition to these commands, you may also see the following advisory icon appear.

Advisory Icons
PetCommand ConflictingCommand.png Conflict This is displayed in the Pets Window when any henchman is issued a different command from another. This indication is simply informational and does not indicate an error.
