The Four Spans
Bridging the southern fork of the Paragon River are the Four Spans; four bridges commissioned by the city of Praetoria and designed by our very own Emperor Marcus Cole: artist, engineer, and architect beyond peer. Each bridge represents one of the the 'Four Guiding Principles' as outlined in Emperor Marcus Cole's seminal work of polictical theory: "An Empire of the Mind". Each span also corresponds to the four volumes of The Work:
1: Ideological Purity - An Open Mind is an Unguarded Flank
2: Moral Rectitude - Purity of Thought & Purity of Purpose
3: Dutiful Citizenship - Peace, Prosperity, and Submission to the State
4: Unceasing Vigilance - Friend, Family, Foe: The many faces of the Enemy
