This is a documentation subpage for Template:DropRecipeHead (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is used on an IO enhancement/recipe article. It is used to create the opening text in the recipe section. It provides the recipe's image, the recipe's rareness and how to obtain it, and it indicates how much it sells for in stores. It leads into the {{DropRecipeTables}} template, which provides tables detailing the crafting requirements of the recipe for each level.

Usage

The template requires two positional arguments, the set's name and the recipe's rarity/drop method. For example,

{{DropRecipeHead|Bruising Blow|U}}

There are two special cases for the set's name. If the recipe is for a costume, it must be "Costume". If the recipe is for a temporary power, it must be "Temp Powers". Otherwise, it should be the invention set's name.

The recipe's rarity/drop method must be one of several keywords as follows.

  • U for uncommon drops (pool A) DropIcon-U.png
  • R for rare drops (pool A) DropIcon-R.png
  • VR for very rare drops ("purples", pool A) DropIcon-VR.png
  • M for mission drops (pool B) DropIcon-M.png
  • RR for random rare recipe rolls (previously pools C and D) DropIcon-RR.png (this was previously TF)
  • S for special drops DropIcon-S.png
  • P for PvP drops DropIcon-P.png
  • CP for Costume Pieces (to distinguish between merit costs of other uncommon pool A drops)
  • CTP for Common Temp Powers (to distinguish between merit costs of other common pool A drops)
  • UTP for Uncommon Temp Powers (to distinguish between merit costs of other uncommon pool A drops)
  • RTP for Rare Temp Powers (to distinguish between merit costs of other rare pool A drops)
  • UN for unknown drops DropIcon-UN.png

The template may also take an optional third parameter. When provided, this overrides the default selling and crafting costs for the recipe to match the provided level.

For special drops, specifying an optional "special" parameter will allow inclusion of instructions for obtaining the recipe.

In the event that a recipe does not follow the usual convention for buyback price at a store (100 * level for uncommon or 200 * level for rare), an optional "price" parameter may be specified to override calculation of the sales price for the recipe with the value specified. For instance, if a level 1 recipe can be sold for 3000 at a store, add "|price=3000" in the template call.

Example

This invocation:

{{DropRecipeHead|Bruising Blow|U}}

Will result in the following:

Uncommon Drop
Recipe Bruising Blow.png

This recipe cannot be bought from stores. It must be obtained by purchasing from a Reward Merit Vendor as an Invention Origin Enhancement Recipe, by defeating enemies, from another player at the Auction House, or by trading. It is an uncommon drop.

This recipe may be sold to a store for 100 inf per level. However, other players may be willing to pay more for it through the Auction House.

The following tables show the requirements for crafting this enhancement:
