A legend spurned, sorrow and desperation binding a boy to his familial mandate.
A terrible, icy darkness.
A thousand years.
A memory: a dirge; a wake. And awaking, helm and bow in hand — one his brother's, one his own.
A resolution, for no other choice remains.
