Information
Resistance cell captain
Wardog is known to people in the Resistance as being wrapped in a mistery. Most who remember Wardog's true past are long dead. One thing is for sure: Wardog is a dangerous man, determined to do whatever it takes to win.
Prior to Introduction
We have nothing to discuss at the moment. You should work with the others first.
Initial Contact
Character, let's keep this introduction brief. You and I both have many things to get done, like all great figures in history. Let me just say that I consider the two of us equals here in the Resistance. We both are going to do what it takes to get things done. And, after all the help you've given to the others, we sit on the edge of a moment that will change the face of Praetoria forever.
Greeting
- Let's make sure we're the victors in this war, Character.
- History will be made and preserved today, Character.

Old History Book
Wardog gave you this old history textbook, originally written in the 1980's. You open the front page to see the names of several of his students. It reminds you of an experience you call...
Those Who Make History
It began with Wardog revealing his master plan; the retrieval of a Neutrom bomb and the intent to use it to make a grand statement against Cole in Nova Praetoria. The first thing that had to be done was to weaken any possible support that Cole's regime could send against the retrieval of the bomb. You burst into a warehouse full of Clockwork and sent it into chaos with the help of an ally from the Syndicate.
Next, you had to hack into a seer's mind in order to find the location of the Neutron bomb. This was easy enough, and again you had aid from the Syndicate.
Wardog informed you afterwards there was one last loose end; the Syndicate. They were on their way to betray the Resistance and take the bomb themselves. You made the first move by striking down your former Syndicate allies, including one man who was Wardog's former student.
With that done, all that was left was assaulting the main lab where the Neutron bomb was being kept. You, Vagabond, Hatchet, and Wardog made a daring attack and retrieved the Neutron bomb, despite the overwhelming presence of the PPD. Now, you all stand on the edge of history, the Resistance possessing what may be one of the most powerful devices in all of Praetoria...
Part One: The First Line of Defense
Those around here have wondered what exactly I am planning. I have not told them, precisely because I do not want our plan to get out. There are those in the Resistance who would... frown upon what I am planning, to put it lightly. However, all of the pieces have been set into motion now. I feel that I can tell you what our goal is, Character. Do you remember when you and Beholder aided me by finding information out about Hamidon? It confirmed one of my suspicions; Cole is developing weapons to destroy only organic life.
I followed that lead and found my other suspicions confirmed as well: Cole already has a weapon made for this. It is a form of a Neutron bomb. When activated, it will wipe away all organic life in a two mile radius. The goal of it is to eradicate your enemies while leaving their cities perfectly preserved to use. At least, that's what it was for before the Hamidon War; now it is a tool to eradicate Hamidon and preserve whatever area is used.
It is not surprising Cole went this route instead of nuclear technology; I imagine when you're at the epicenter of a nuclear explosion, you tend to think twice about using said weaponry.
So, you're planning on using this Neutron bomb where...?
In Nova Praetoria. We're going to make a statement, Character. People in Praetoria, they forget history. They forget the concepts our country was founded on, they forget the tenants of freedom, of justice. Why? Because they have become smaller compared to the image of Cole fighting Hamidon. The people must be made to see that Cole can bleed, that Cole is fallible. The only way to do that is to make a large enough statement to the people. That is what Beholder's seers will be used for; before the bomb is rigged, I will deliver my speech to the people of Praetoria, teaching them the true history that Cole doesn't want them to know. That, Character, is my plan.
But first, Praetoria's defenses must be weakened. There is a warehouse that provides power to many Clockwork. I'll need you to go in there and destroy the generator, along with any powered Clockwork. You will have aid from our allies in the Syndicate, namely a woman named Lauren McAllister. Good luck, Character.
Unsolicited Contact
We have no time to sit around, Character.
Mission Objective(s)
Lauren McAllister bows politely to you as you enter. It's time to make the first move in Wardog's grand plan.
- Wipe out the Clockwork Warehouse
- 2 prototypes to destroy
- Destroy the main generator
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Lifter Prototype (Praetorian Clockwork Lifter) (Boss)
- Dismantler Prototype (Praetorian Clockwork Dismantler) (Boss)
- Clockwork Generator (Object)
- Lauren McAllister (Syndicate Sword Master, Ally)
Debriefing
Everything is moving according to plan. Your work in that Clockwork warehouse was invaluable. Vagabond has sent his soldiers out to specific PPD precincts now to spread the disease that Neuron so graciously gave to them. All the pieces are falling perfectly into place, Character.
Did you know, that I used to be a teacher? Not many do. I was a history teacher, before joining the Resistance. It was a lifetime ago. Everything changed when Cole took away our freedom, our history. But that is a story I can save for later on. We have work to do.
Part Two: The Mind's Eye
We have one last obstacle before moving to obtain the Neutron Bomb, Character. That would be where exactly it is. This is a problem easily solved by tapping into the network that the seers use. I would simply request Beholder to do it, but she has grown weak in the past few days. I fear that she truly does not have much time left in this world. But she has fashioned a device that can be used to scan a seer's mind.
There is a seer who has this information, by the name of 7282. Lovely name, isn't it? We're all just numbers to Cole and the Praetors. Her location was kindly provided by our allies in the Syndicate.
So I need to go in there and scan this seer's memory?
Precisely. You'll have aid from the Syndicate. The man's name is Marcus Kirchmer, a skilled swordsman. I remember when he was a younger boy. I taught him, in fact, in my previous life. Very smart and very polite boy.
When you arrive at the facility, you'll need to re-sync the device with the network. Once that is done, it's a simple matter of weakening the seer in order to activate the device.
Unsolicited Contact
Let me know if anything should go wrong, Character.
Mission Objective(s)
This time you are greeted by Marcus Kirchmer of the Syndicate. Somewhere within here is the Seer that carries perhaps the most valuable information in all of Imperial City.
- Scan Seer 7282's Mind
- Sync the scanner with the Seer system
- Weaken Seer 7282
- Scan the Seer's mind
- Find Mission Exit
You've got the information you need - now get out of the building before the PPD arrive!
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Marcus Kirchmer (Syndicate Sword Master, Ally)
- Seer 7282 (Seers Visionary) (Boss)
Briefing
You're able to see various parts of the Seer's mind with the scanner, though you have very little time.
(Search for information on the Neutron bomb's location)
A map of Imperial City is shown. Various dots roll over it until one remains, showing the location of the Neutron Bomb.
(Remove the Device)
Debriefing
It's an interesting fact that Cole's main method of policing the people of Praetoria has led us to discover the location of this all important bomb. Much like all tyrants in history, Cole's main weakness is his grip of control over the people.
This was something I tried desperately to teach my students, in the final days of my teaching. I was forced out, you know. I did not leave on my own volition; Cole and his forces threatened the well-being of my family and friends if I did not stop spreading my 'lies' to the children that I taught. Instead of continuing a career teaching lies to the children, I left my job. I went home that night to find my home empty. It seems Cole did not 'approve' of my choice. The reports say my family was sent away to another country, claiming they wanted to go there to aid them.
That was over five years ago, Character. I know that my family is dead. Perhaps that is why in these final moments, I am calm.
Part Three: Loose Ends
Our allies in the Syndicate have been most helpful to our cause. Unfortunately for them, I know how the Syndicate operates. Now that we have the location of the bomb, they will try to take the bomb for themselves. It is unfortunate, but it is the nature of their dealings. Kirchmer, I know, will betray me. It will not be the first time a former student of mine has betrayed me, nor will it be the first time that I will have to kill a former student of mine. Such is the life that good men are forced to live in these times.
It is a dirty business, Character, but I must ask you to eliminate those members of the Syndicate who we once called allies, along with their contact, a man named Vincent Soto.
They'll have to be taken down if they intend to betray us first, right?
Right.
I believe they move now through the tunnels, of all places. I have it on good authority that they bring with them proximity bombs. They intend to use them to blow up our main route in and out of the tunnels. An interesting notion, but they believed they were dealing with a fool. I strongly prescribe to the notion that those who do not know history will be doomed to repeat it. I know quite well how all historical dealings with organizations such as the Syndicate have gone, and I will not see us fail because of their greed.
Unsolicited Contact
Do not spare any expense on them, Character.
Mission Objective(s)
The Syndicate would seek to use the Neutron bomb for their own ends - you'll have to make sure that doesn't happen.
- Eliminate the Syndicate Traitors
- Defeat Vincent Soto
- Defeat Marcus Kirchmer
- Defeat Lauren McAllister
You've wiped out your former allies in the Syndicate.

Debriefing
Excellent work, Character. That was the last loose end that we have. We can move forward now with our plan of attack to retrieve the bomb.
Kirchmer was the second student I've had killed. The first was a PPD officer, a man named Stewart Tones. I knew him very well, he was one of my most intelligent students. I did not want to kill him, Character, but it was either him, or me. I pleaded with the boy to walk away, but he insisted he was 'serving the good of Praetoria'. After all I taught him, he still had that naive, ignorant view. I shot him in the head before he could shoot me. I truly believe that on that day, whoever I once was died.
I apologize for going on at length about this, Character, but I feel someone must know of my past, of my history. I do not intend to live through this plan; I cannot die without at least one person learning from what I've gone through.
Part Four: Mutually Assured Destruction
The climax of our actions is soon approaching. Vagabond and Hatchet are prepared for our assault on the lab that has our Neutron bomb. The PPD are unaware that we are on our way, though I assume that they are already well guarded. Our efforts, however, are coordinated.
As we speak, the diseased members of the Resistance have activated in precincts all over Nova and Imperial, sending them into chaos. The officers in the lab will be unable to move in to provide back up. Beholder's seers have launched various attacks on the Seers in Imperial to prevent Tilman from seeing our attack. Hatchet's small army of ghouls have moved to the surface in Neutropolis and Imperial, ensuring that the PPD must take them out before dealing with us.
All that's left is for us to get the bomb.
The last and most important step. This not a time for words anymore, Character. This is a time for action! I will meet you at the lab.
Those Loyalists who have gone undercover would do well to speak with Provost Marchand about events that are happening.

You picked up a steel box containing the Neutron Bomb. The box vibrates with pure power. In your hands you hold a device that could destroy every single living creature in Nova Praetoria. |
Debriefing
You've performed admirably, Character. We now have a weapon to use against Cole and his regime, a weapon that will make them know true fear. It is only through fear that change can be made, Character. Not through noble acts, not through charity; only fear and power can change the society that we've become. That is what people respond to. Not to intellectual debate, not to high morals. Perhaps in better times, those would be fine. But we live in a time where drastic actions must be taken. And we, Character, will be the people to do such actions.

Wardog's Photo
Before you left Wardog, he gave you this photo as his last memento. It is of a school, most likely the one where he taught. It reminds you of an experience called...
Blood of Tyrants
It was the last moments of Wardog's major plan to unleash a Neutron bomb within Nova Praetoria. Things had gone poorly, however; the PPD T.E.S.T. cornered you, Vagabond, and Wardog in the tunnels underneath Nova Praetoria. It was here that you were faced with a choice: fight through the PPD TEST and activate the bomb, killing the entire squad heading down into the tunnels along with Vagabond and Wardog, or betraying the two members of the Resistance to disarm the bomb yourself, earning yourself the title of 'Hero of Praetoria'.
Finale: A Life Long Lived
This is our moment, Character. We've all worked hard to reach this moment in our history. Can you feel it? The sense that you're standing on the brink of a historical moment? Much like our forefathers before signing the Constitution. We've ensured that most of our operatives will not be in Nova Praetoria. They've also evacuated all of our supporters - very silently, of course. They'll all just know when to not be there.
All that is left for us is to bring the bomb to the proper location in Nova and unleash it upon the Loyalists. The Seers will ensure that everyone will see the speech I shall give; they will see what happens when a man makes a stand against a group of monsters.
Where are we bringing ther bomb?
Through the tunnels of Imperial. We will bring it up through the tunnels in Nova, very close to the Magisterium. And then... it will all be over, Character. I will make my announcement, with Vagabond at my side. And then, the bomb will let loose, ending the last moments of my cursed life here in Praetoria. I can only hope that people will learn from what I have to say, that I am the last that needs to make this stand. This is my one hope, Character. Now... let us get moving. We have history to make.
Those Loyalists who have gone undercover would do well to speak with Provost Marchand about events that are happening.
Unsolicited Contact
We've no time to lose, Character.
Mission Objective(s)
You can hear Vagabond and Wardog in the distance of the tunnels. You can feel the pulsing energies of the Neutron bomb, waiting to be released.
- Detonate Neutron Bomb (Single Player)
- Speak with Wardog
- Retrieve the detonator
Thanks, Character. I don't know what the world would do without you.

Briefing
Good to see you're here, Character. The detonator for the Neutron bomb is over there in that crate. You'll be in charge of handling it. Go grab it and we'll get our next plan of action in motion.
Sounds good.
Moral Choice
Players are presented with a moral choice: to aid the Resistance or go over to the Loyalists.
- Activate the Neutron Bomb. Wipe out all the PPD TEST with the Neutron Bomb. Aid the Resistance. Wardog's plan to blow up the Magisterium has been thwarted, but it can still be salvaged if the bomb can take out a major unit of the PPD. You'll have to make your way up through the tunnels and activate the bomb. The Seers will ensure all of Praetoria sees exactly what the Resistance can do!
- Deactivate the Bomb. Thwart the Resistance plan. Aid the Loyalists. With the Seers broadcasting the events to all of Praetoria, now would be the perfect time to turn on the Resistance! All of Praetoria would see you as their 'saviour', stopping the Resistance bombing plot. You'd gain the favor of the people and of the Loyalists, opening up the way to untold power within Praetoria. Who wouldn't give unending praise to the hero who disarmed the Neutron bomb?

Character! We've got a major situation on our hands. I've got the device to disarm the bomb... but I've run into one of those infected Resistance. I've neutralized the disease, but my vision is getting darker and darker...
